None of this "we are done with state assessments so we aren't doing anything" junk.
They were not thrilled.
They will be busy for the next 3 weeks. I will be busy grading and herding.
They have started their research reports about animals. They are excited. In fact, one told me that this is better than Kanopolis. We'll see if they think that after 2 weeks of working on them.
Students made folders to organize notecards, bibliographies of their books, and information they have found about their animals. After collecting the information, they worked with a partner to make sure they had all the information they needed.
I am learning a lot.
Did you know a golden eagle's nest can be 6 feet deep? And that a giraffe's tongue is 18 inches long? Gross.
And finally, we did a little desk cleaning. It's been awhile.
