We have been spending our science time studying the various ways to measure using the Metric system. Although the U.S. does not use the metric system, the rest of the world does as well as any scientist in the U.S.
Below, you will see students making estimates of the length and width of objects using meters, centimeters, and millimeters. Then, they measured the objects to see if their estimates were close.
Make sure to ask your child about how big a centimeter and millimeter are.
