Friday, December 17, was filled was a lot of things to do! The kids were so excited for Christmas break. Unfortunately, we still had plenty of work to get done. The most important job for the day: finish our Book Club projects by making new covers (complete with price, "sneak peek"/summary on the back" and spine.
Luke and Addi work on their new book covers for The White Giraffe.While we were working, Santa decided to show up! The kids were thrilled and so ecstatic to see him. It was so much fun to see them so excited--there is nothing like seeing a child's face at Christmas!

Thanks, Santa!After lunch, the entire school went to the gym for the "Sing Around the Christmas Tree."
Finally, after recess, it was time for our party. We had delicious cupcakes, juice, and a truck-load of candy (sent the children home promptly after this). They also opened their Christmas gift from me (it has also been a tradition that I make ornaments for each child in my class).
