Popcorn Experiment

On Friday the students continued studying the scientific method. This time, their question was "Which brand of popcorn pops the most popcorn?" We had 5 different kinds: PopSecret, Orville, Act II, American Fare (K-Mart brand), and Kroger/Dillion's brand.

Each group had a different brand of popcorn and counted the popped popcorn into groups of twenty. We then compared our data to see which brand gave us the most popcorn.

Surprisingly, most of our hypotheses were wrong, as the Kroger/Dillion's brand popped the most and it was the cheapest. However, many students agreed that it maybe wasn't the tastiest.

Below are some pictures of the groups counting and resisting temptation to eat the buttery treat!
