During reading we talked about another comprehension strategy that good readers use when they are reading: Asking Questions. We practiced asking questions by eating something that most of us had never had before: edamame. Edamame are soybeans that have been salted and are eaten in many Asian restaurants. Just like good readers, we asked questions before, during, and after eating/reading. Every student tried the edamame but some liked it more than others!
